This filly stood out during our Book 2 inspections because of her strength and balance. She has plenty of muscle and a deep girth. She actually reminds us a lot of her sire, FIERCE IMPACT, in appearance. As a racehorse, Fierce Impact won three Gr.1s over the mile, including at weight-for-age. His oldest progeny are now 2YOs, and he has had one runner for one winner so far—Zelia, who won at Riccarton in late January. We believe he is a sire who will hit his straps within the next 12 months.
On paper, this filly has some nice black-type behind her, offering good residual value moving forward. Her grand-dam, DILLY DALLY, was a 2x winning 2YO who went on to win four stakes races, including the TJ Smith Stakes and the MVRC Champagne Stakes. Based on her pedigree, we think this filly could be up and running as a late 2YO and develop into a lovely 3YO who would be effective over the mile, with potential as an Oaks filly. She is exactly the type of horse you target at Karaka, and we are thrilled to be bringing her home.
